Whether you're craving a hearty bowl of pho, a fresh banh mi sandwich, or a delicious Vietnamese iced coffee, Pho Co. Variety has something to satisfy every taste bud. This unassuming spot may seem like just another diner, but once you step inside, you'll find a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, and a menu packed with delicious choices that are hard to beat.

The first thing you notice when you enter Pho Co. Variety is the simple yet charming decor. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to offer suggestions if you're unsure of what to order. It's clear that the people here are passionate about the food they serve, and that enthusiasm shines through in every dish.

Pho Co. Variety's menu is a tribute to the rich flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. Pho, of course, is the star of the show, with a variety of broths, meats, and toppings to choose from. The traditional pho options, like pho bo (beef) and pho ga (chicken), are packed with flavor, and the fresh herbs and vegetables that come with them add a burst of freshness to every spoonful. If you’re new to pho, don't worry-the staff are more than happy to walk you through how to enjoy it properly, explaining the different garnishes and how to balance the flavors for the perfect experience.

One standout dish that has garnered rave reviews from regulars is the pho with brisket. The brisket is slow-cooked to tender perfection, soaking in the flavorful broth, and adding a depth of richness to the dish. It's clear that the kitchen doesn’t cut corners when it comes to preparing their pho. The noodles are just the right texture, soft yet firm enough to hold up to the broth, and the broth itself is rich and savory without being overwhelming.

Another popular dish on the menu is the banh mi, a Vietnamese sandwich made with a crispy baguette, pickled vegetables, cilantro, and your choice of protein. Pho Co. Variety offers a variety of fillings, from classic grilled pork to crispy tofu, ensuring there’s something for every dietary preference. The balance of flavors in the banh mi is perfect-the crunch of the baguette, the tang of the pickled vegetables, and the savory protein come together in each bite for a satisfying and delicious meal.

While Pho Co. Variety is known for its Vietnamese fare, it also offers a selection of traditional diner favorites. Whether you're in the mood for a classic American breakfast or a comforting bowl of mac and cheese, you won’t be disappointed by the diverse range of dishes available. Many diners have expressed surprise at how well the restaurant manages to blend these two culinary worlds, creating a menu that's both familiar and exciting.

As for the drinks, the Vietnamese iced coffee is a must-try. It’s sweet, strong, and refreshing-perfect for cutting through the richness of the pho. The combination of strong coffee and sweetened condensed milk creates a balanced flavor that’s unlike anything you’ll find in a typical coffee shop.

  • I never make reviews but this place is so good I have to show my love and support for it. The absolute best Vietnamese food in the greater Portland area. The Pho is heartwarming and quality is unbeatable. Anytime I am feeling sick I am instantly cured by the herbs and broth. Bao is also phenomenal. Love love love!!

  • Nice little neighborhood spot that I think should be busy all the time! There is not a lot of space to dine-in, but if you were looking for a quiet place to eat, this is the spot! There are also picnic tables outside, which is nice on a warm day (although the road is loud). We ordered the Pho Ga and Veggie Pho. I also had a strawberry milk bubble tea with tapioca pearl. For the price and convenience, I’d highly recommend coming here. If I was a local teenager, I’d probably live here.

  • An absolute hidden gem in the Portland area! Great selection of authentic Vietnamese+ dishes, most customizable with choice of protein. My beef bao bao was tender, juicy & flavorful. The pork belly bahn mi was loaded with fresh veg and the roll was perfection. Seating is limited inside, I enjoyed the fall weather on one of the picnic tables out front. Can’t wait to go back.

  • So happy to have found this place! Authentic Vietnamese food with super friendly staff. We hesitated at first since the photos online didn’t show that they had renovated and now there are more tables for dine in. We tried the Pho, pork chop vermicelli and pork belly with white rice. I would take 1 star off because the rice was dry and hard but then it got quite offset since my daughter gave hers 100 stars!

  • I haven’t been here a couple of years and they have remodeled their seating areas. There are a couple of tables and chairs making it a little quaint shop. Now the pho. Absolutely delicious. The noodle was cooked al dente and just right. The broth was full flavor and authentic. They also give you some Thai basil, a wedge of lime, sprout and sawtooth herb (I think , I have never consume this in pho). I got me a bowl of Pho Dac Biet full of goodness. On the table was Sriracha and hoisin sauce if you need it. One of the best pho places in Portland . Definitely give them a try. We also got chicken pad thai. Equally good.

  • Simply the BEST Pho I have ever had. Super clean broth, not oily whatsoever. Aromatic and flavorful. Stir Fry was delicious, a great sauce and crispy vegetables. Fresh spring rolls were made to order. Super clean, fresh, and the best.

  • Biggest Bahn mi I’ve had. My coworker recommended this place as a 10/10. I have to agree the sandwich was flavorful and the pho dipping brought was a game changer. Too full to try the spring rolls but they look good.

  • Saw the reviews and thought I’d give it a try and was not disappointed at all. God the drunken noodles and pork belly bahn mi and both were amazing. Never had a bahn mi before, it’s basically a pho sandwich and was sooo good. I also had a green tea bubble tea and flavor was great, my one complaint about that would be the tapioca boba was very hard and not squishy. Not letting it bring down the review tho. Awesome food!!
